New Shoes

My shoes have shrunk since I've lost 70 pounds, but only by a half size, so get your shoes.  You can just wear thicker socks if they feel a little loose.

As for the FitBit...GO FOR IT!  I have the one with the heart monitor, and will never be without one again.  Not only does it show me my heartbeat, but it shows my resting heart rate on my phone.  My resting rate has gone from 77 down to 63!  It's so exciting to see the changes on a daily basis. Now I see how much exercise I get as well as how many calories I burn and how far I walk.  It's great and you'll love it.

Agree with others on the shoes, your feet will become smaller.   On the Fitbit it is worth every penny.  Fitbit and my fitness pal are fantastic tools.

My shoes did get looser, going from a wide to a normal, but it wasn't that significant, and I still wear my old shoes, but they are a bit loose.

I got a FitBit a few weeks ago, and I like it.  I got it mostly to monitor my sleep because I was not sleeping well.  Coincidentally, my sleep is getting better, and the Fit Bit isn't that good at telling when I'm asleep!  But I did find that I am walking more and exercising more because I want it to show up on my FitBit.   I find I'll run up and down the stairs a few extra times just to keep the numbers up on the FitBit.

I'm glad I got the FibBit, and I think you'll find it motivates more exercise at least for a while.  I don't know if that would justify the cost for you.

best wishes,

Carol

I had surgery my surgery on October 16 and wore 8-1/2 wide.  By Christmas I was in 7 wide.  I had to get all new shoes.  Go for the Fitbit and get shoes after your weight levels off.

Get the shoes, get the Fitbit then use them together to get moving and wear out the new shoes just in time to need new ones because your feet got smaller doing all that walking!

I'm not sure how/where you carry your weight, but my shoe size didn't change at all.

I love my fitbit Flex. I have had for over a year now. Its super motivating and keeps going on those days where I don't feel like exercising. In addition I also track my food on it. I just upgraded over the weekend as they had a sale on a better/newer model. I can wait for my shipment to get here!
