8 Years out and still strong
Hello to all! I am 8 years out and still doing pretty well. I just wanted to offer some hope and peace to those who may be struggling and encourage them! Life is great. Although I've never reconciled to being a "skinny chick" I've never forgotten who I really am. Not going to lie, I still wrestle with my head hunger and I'm still pretty hard on myself at times. But this was the best thing I've ever done for myself. Stay positive and work hard. It's so worth it!
With Love,

It was about 8 years ago that I first talked to my doctor about surgery, but was turned down by the insurance company. I'm 3 months out and am so encouraged by your post. It's wonderful to read about your long term success and to know you're doing really well. Congratulations!
