We attended an event sponsored by Pizzas 4 Patriots (www.pizzas4patriots.com) - my husband doesn't really eat crust, so he just ate the cheese and sausage off the top. Me on the other hand, I love crust....but after only 1 piece of thin crust, I switched to just the topping (only 1 piece worth). It was too late, just that 1 piece of crust I ate made me very uncomfortable. I thought being 11 1/2 months post-op I'd be able to tolerate a piece or two of thin crust pizza, but obviously I just can't. And that's ok, I'm proud of my weight loss progress so far.

Went to Dat Dog in NO, the purveyors of the "finest in encased meats," or so they say. I ate 1/2 of a hot dog sans bun. It was okay, but an ordinary backyard grilled dog is better, IMO. And it took a 30-minute ride in a packed streetcar to get there. Took an Uber car home. Earlier in the day, I went to the annual Po' Boy Festival just a few blocks from my apartment. There appears to be almost nothing that can't go into a po' boy. Alligator, crawfish, oysters, sausage, beef, etc. Didn't eat any, though. The bread and the fact that I would have had to eat the thing while walking through crowds of people didn't appeal.
