Misery loves company, so....
My surgery is this upcoming Monday, 11/23, and I KNOW it's all worth it and I will do the work I need to do... but damn am I miserable right now!! I'm so over this liquid diet! If I see anymore Jell-O I'm going to scream. I can't take another day at work where everyone is eating and I just stare at them like a fat lost puppy dog hoping they drop a morsel for me.
End rant.
Thank you for listening :)
I felt the same way!!! In fact I still do! I am at 6 weeks post-op and today I was cleared to eat a full diet. But my first week back to work, I was only 3 weeks out and still on a liquid diet and my co-workers had a pot luck!! I was so mad.. And even more mad that they actually had the nerve to ask me to make something .. I brought in a case of water :/ lol.. You can do it.. I have no will power what so ever so if I can take you anyone can !! Good luck!!!
The pre-op diet was tough. Hang in there. You are so close. It'll be worth it.

The pre-op phase is BY FAR THE WORST!!!! Hang with it though...you are ALMOST FINISHED!!!! Know that if you can get through this, the rest will be a breeze!

I am post-op 3 days. I thought the first 3 - 4 days of the pre-op diet was the hardest then I was feeling good. Post op has been tough I am sticking to mostly water, and don't feel like much else. The good news is my pain has been minimal and I feel like as soon as I can start eating better I will be fine, but I have to think it will be a few more days.
Many of us felt the exact same way, believe me. I can't look at jello to this day and I am 13 1/2 months out from surgery. I also can't stand to look at protein shakes. This is the worst that you will go through, along with the first month after surgery, but it will all be worth it, believe me. I would do it again in a heartbeat. You can do this!
