Looking for a new Doctor in Nebraska

I am moving to Nebraska in May. I know it's still a good few months away, but I was wondering if anyone lived in NE and had an office/doctor they could recommend? I've already had my surgery, so basicly I am looking for a doctor and nutritionist team that can help me reach my goal and work through maintenance as well as be there should I need to see a doctor. I'm of course going to do an Internet search but I'd love to hear if anyone has a doctor/nutritionist team they completely love.

Where in Nebraska are you moving? My surgeon is in Cheyenne, WY. If you are in western Nebraska he would be a good choice. His name is Richard Fermelia.

I am moving to Avoca, NE

OK - that's Cass County, which is south of Douglas County where Omaha is located.  That's where you're going to find the bariatric programs - Lincoln or Omaha.  Depending on where Avoca is located within Cass County you may be just as close to Lincoln as you are to Omaha.  I'd research both areas.

If you're moving to the east part of the state (Omaha/Lincoln area) then you'll be in luck.  Out-state...well, that's gonna be rough.  

Even here in Omaha I've given up on my Methodist-hospital based doctor.  The surgeon who did my surgery is a great surgeon but left the bariatric practice because of other issues...and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone right now.  But Nebraska Medicine and Immanuel both have solid programs that I would recommend.

I am from nebraska. if I remember correctly, Avoca is not far from Lincoln and there are many fine doctors their. My mother uses Shawn Seman as an internist.  But the big hospital systems there have physician referral.  two medical schools in omaha and a healthy economy there are the basis of good medical care there. diane
