dizzy spells
Does it happen right after standing up from a sitting or prone position?

I was dizzy for months! In reading your message, I just realized the dizziness has stopped! I'd suggest talking to your doctor as it can be a number of factors causing the problem. low blood pressure, low blood sugar, or inner ear issues, to name a few.
I talked to my cardiologist, and he noticed my blood pressure was quite low, and suggested that I should eat more salt. Since I like salt, this was no hardship I have salmon for breakfast every morning and I eat it was an abundance of salt, and the problem is gone.
Best wishes,
Carol

Same here. Lots of salt on steak. I've been tempted to use a drill to make the holes on the top of the salt shaker bigger.

It could be a bunch of things. Low blood sugar, maybe. But this is a fairly common side effect, so it's most likely orthostatic hypotension, a kind of low blood pressure. Drinking more and increasing electrolytes helps. It's something that fades over the first year.

My doctor had me on a liquid diet a week before and 2 weeks after. I was dizzy all the time. I was told it was the lack of nutrients being taken in and not enough water. Now that I am able to each mushies I am not having the dizzy spells anymore. It's always a good idea to talk to your doctor about any concerns.
