I had some people over for dinner on Saturday and for the first time, I didn't feel odd about the small amount that I ate and no one really noticed because we did FONDUE!  Shrimp and chicken and veggies and for those that could eat them, baby potatoes.  Fondue will be happening again!!!

And I know I shouldn't feel odd about the small amounts but It was so nice not to have to field comments about how little I ate :)

This is a GREAT IDEA!  Thank you for sharing.

This way we can eat small bites, protein and veggies and for those further out fruit

Kathy

What if any sauces did you serve with the fondue? I know in the old days it was melted cheese bases   Yes, I am that old

The Fondue was  broth based to cook the food in (I thought this one worked really well with both shrimp and chicken - made a few tweaks since cillantro isn't well received at home) and I made a traditional ****tail sauce for the shrimp and a yogurt tzatziki thing for the chicken

This is a great suggestion! I'm still hyper sensitive when eating out.  I really hate people analyzing how much I've eaten, and then asking why I don't eat more
