Today at our support group we had Rusty and a Amy there to give a talk about obesity help. I found it enjoyable and informative. Seem like very nice, caring people. We also had someone from Patch MD there and gave a talk about the vitamins in patch form, also very interesting and I am going to try them.
Anyway , I have not been on this forum for quite a while and just to bring things up to date, I am now down 50lbs since July, so that includes preop, sleeved 8/3/15. Hope everyone is doing well, still feel a little like I should be further along in my weight loss, but I am grateful. I say the doc did his part and I am doing mine, protein 80-100gms day and liquids not always 64oz, but as much as I can get in. I am totally sticking to the plan. I have a trainer 3 times a week and ride my bike outdoors 2-3 times a week and occasionally walk in pool. I have 2 very bad knees and soon will have total knee replacement. This is partly why I did the sleeve, well tired of being overweight and fighting a loosing battle, but tired of the oi the pain, and want to get healthy. Good luck to everyone, hope you are doing well.
50 lbs in 4 months seems pretty awesome to me! It sounds like you are doing a great job. Good for you for sticking to your plan and exercising as well. I sympathize with your knee pain; I have a herniated disk in my back and I'll be having surgery for that in December. Not fun at all but definitely a big motivator for me to get the sleeve. Good luck to you in your journey!
