Feeling wonderful
i had my VSG surgery on 8/13/15. The first month for me was pure hell, and I really regretted having the surgery. I am 2 months and 3 weeks out from surgery now and I wouldn't change a thing. I have lost about 52 pounds and feel GREAT, I still have a long way to go but it's coming off! I want everybody to know how much this forum has helped throughout the last few months. I remember someone telling me before I knew she had the surgery that she lost it through hard work and exercise, that is so true. Good luck everyone!
I'm glad you're doing better.

I'm so glad you are feeling wonderful. I don't think anyone who's been thru WLS would say its the easy way out! Its certainly not easy, and it takes diligence and commitment, especially in maintenance. But the surgery makes it possible, and that is all we need - the chance to manage the obesity.
Best of luck,
Carol

"... it's coming off!"
The act of improving your health and well-being is, I think, one of the best feelings in the world. And your acquaintance is correct -- even with surgery, it takes hard work and exercise. The surgery doesn't make it easy. What it does is level the playing field -- those who were unable to lose weight can now see the same results as people who lose weight without surgery.
