I chose vsg because of dumping syndrome. I already have it due to the removal of my gallbladder 10 years ago. With the gastric bypass you have more issues with dumping syndrome, and I did not want to increase my issues.
My primary motivating factor was removal of the Fundus, and thereby reduction in Ghrelin.
