Is it possible to eat popcorn after sleeve?

My husband tolerates it just fine post-VSG, and I've had no problems with it either post-RNY. Neither of us has found any foods we can't tolerate; just ones we've chosen not to add back in. A friend of mine who had VSG almost a year ago still can't eat bread, popcorn, leafy lettuce, or shredded meats though. She had a really rough recovery; not sure if that makes a difference.
I'm unaware of any foods that are "gone forever" after my VSG. It's a matter of what I choose to eat or limit the quantity.
I had popcorn well over a year after my surgery with no complications. In fact, it's way too easy to eat. It won't fill you up so you can eat more than you should. For that reason, I try to avoid it.

I've had no trouble with popcorn. The only potential trouble, for me, is starting to add things like butter back in. Plain, air-popped popcorn is a pretty healthy snack. Cook it in oil, and add toppings, it becomes a giant mound of calories.
Bread was the last thing that was really tough for me to eat, but even that isn't an issue now.

I eat popcorn all the time - but I am 1.5 years out of surgery. Didn't eat it during weight loss phase - tried to stick to healthier options. It is a trigger food - I find it best to eat a snack bag from the vending machine and limit quantity rather than have the ability to go back for more.

Corn of any kind is off-limits for the first year per my surgeon and nutritionist's eating guidelines, since it really doesn't have any nutritional value and it's such a common trigger/slider food. I avoid corn in any form since I'm still in the active loss phase, but even once I enter maintenance I will have to be very, very careful with popcorn since self control will be very difficult for me.
