One Year Surgeriversary
Today marks one year since I had my surgery. I am not yet at my goal, but if I never make it there, I have changed my life for the good. 104 lbs ago I could not go on roller coasters or other amusement park rides. 104 lbs ago I could not sit comfortably in a booth at a restaurant. 104 lbs ago I could not sit what I hope will be comfortably in an airplane seat (going to take a trip in November). 104 lbs ago I never wanted my picture taken as I couldn't stand to see myself in those pictures. One thing I have learned that I am sure any sleeve patient knows: the sleeve is not a miracle cure. I will have to work at this for the rest of my life, but it has given me a tool that I never had before that has helped me do something I could never do before, lose weight, hopefully on a permanent basis. I still struggle with my sweet tooth and probably always will, but I can and will do this. I will never regret the choice that I made to have this surgery, even if I never make it to goal.
Don't give up on that last 24- you can do it! Congrats on your loss!
