Post-Op Frustration
So I am 3 days post-op and I am having trouble with knowing what I can eat or not. I have been following the directions that I received from the surgical centre, but I am wondering what other people ate during their full liquid phase, pureed phase, soft food phase, and solid phase. Now I don't want anyone think that I'm being lazy and didn't try to find my own answers, because I did I just it better to rely on the wisdom of those that have been there. So I would appreciate any information that is given. Also how long was it before that weird feeling you get when food enters your stomach goes away?
I went from clear liquids to pureed then soft foods so here's my list of what I can remember eating:
Pureed: greek yogurt, cream of wheat, applesauce, refried beans
soft: soft boiled/poached egg, salmon
I know the weird feeling you describe...maybe a month?
But even at 8 months out I still get different weird feelings of uncomfortable fullness if I eat dry meat, or eat too much, too fast...lots of intestinal gurgling especially with too many carbs....

Similar foods for me - the SF popcicles were great for getting in enough water because they were only a few ounces and I ate them slowly so I didin;t get overfull. Everything gets better.
