How long was everyone's process from when you met with Dr. to have surgery

Thank you for the kind words. I just seen the knee specialist a month ago. He will not do my knee surgery until I get the weight off so I hope this helps make it easier to qualify.

I am just sick of the runaround of not hearing back from the Doctor. :(

Wow that is great! Wish I could go that fast, I am getting very discouraged if this is going to ever happen.

I made a lot of noise I called and left messages a lot to get my date.

That is what I have been doing. I feel like i am just getting the runaround I never get answers back. I am getting very upset on the lack of responses back.

I'm self pay, so that sort of speeds things up. Scheduling will be available as soon as testing is complete. My doctor only requires a blood panel and an EKG (which I will probably do next week. If I had vacation time, I'd probably be on the surgery table within the next 2-3 weeks, but I'm shooting for the last week in October. So my cosultation was Sept 15th, which will make it under two months.

I had a friend who also used Dr. Borland and only had to wait three weeks from her initial consultation. Every doctor is different. It will mostly depend on testing, insurance, and availability.

I first saw the doctor in February, and had my surgery August 4th.  If I had been self pay I could have had my surgery much sooner, but this way gave me more time to prepare.

In the process of getting ready I had to go to 2 nutrition classes, one behavior modification class, 2-3 support group meetings, see a psychiatrist and get my medical testing done: blood work, ekg, treadmill and chest x-ray.  Since the surgery, I have had 2 nutrition classes, and will be going to 2 more as my time progressed to full foods.

5' 5" tall. VSG on August 4, 2015/ Starting weight 239.9/ Surgery weight 210.9/ Current weight 137.4/ Goal weight 140/ No longer overweight, now a NORMAL weight. Now that I'm at goal, it's time to move on to maintenance!!!!!!!!

Seminar in the summer, scheduled initial consult. 3 months from consult was surgury. I was very aggressive though at scheduling all of the pretesting appointments, and had no 6 month waiting period required.
