VSG and Rheumatoid Arthritis

My surgery is scheduled for October 29th.  I have RA and have been doing well with Remicade and Arava.  I am worried because now I have to hold both before and after surgery.  I know I will be in pain.  My question is...will the surgery help my usual RA pain?  Since most of my pain is in my feet and legs, I would think less weight would ease the pain??  Thoughts?
