Vitamins
I take Flinstone's Complete chewables. I can't wait to go back to normal ones though, but I still have another jar of these to finish. Yuck. I tried a few brands before I was able to find one that didn't make me gag. I'd rather swallow it down in one gulp.

I have a weird phobia that I'm sure has a long, unpronounceable name -- fear of swallowing whole pills It's part of the "psychotic" in "psychoticparrot." The "parrot" part is a saga unto itself.
So, all my vitamins are of the chewable or dissolving sort. Since I'm over 60, I take Vitafusion Platinum multivitamin gummies. They are peach flavored and absolutely delicious. I take three of them daily, one by one while sipping a cup of black, unsweetened coffee -- feels like I've eaten a whole meal. They're sucrose-based, but so far they haven't triggered carb cravings.
I also take 2 Citracal Petites, one in the morning and one at night, per my nut's recommendation. One sublingual B12 tablet every two days. And to top it off, I take a daily Nature's Plus chewable iron tablet.
I'm having bloodwork done next week, so I'll find out how this vitamin/mineral regimen is doing. If something is way off, I'll report back to you -- don't want anyone taking too much or not enough of the wrong thing!

Here's what I currently take based on my labs:
Celebrate Orange or Grape chewable multivitamins - two per day
Bariatric Advantage 500mg Caramel Calcium Chews - 3 per day
D3 - 3 times per week
Bariatric Advantage Sublingual B12 - 3 times per day
Immediately after surgery I was taking an iron supplement. My iron labs always come back extremely high, so I was advised to drop it. I also was taking a B1 supplement, but recently stopped it.
Above all things, avoid Flintstones vitamins. They do not contain all the essential minerals that you require after bariatric surgery.

I used to take the Kirkland brand of multivitamin that included iron. A few of my levels came back low over the past couple of years. I switched a few months ago to the PatchMD product- and for the first time my levels were right on. Best part is, no swallowing. It is a patch that you put on daily with a slow release. I clearly absorb better with this than with the pills used previously. There is a 40% of code that is good until I think November. Patch40 or patchmd40 I believe. Here is a link to the multi.
