Red beans and (no) rice pressure cooker recipe

Hello,

Just thought I would post this in case anyone might like it. I substitute out the sausage indicated in this recipe and replace it with Butterball smoked sausage. Here are the stas- but it does not include rice:

Pressure Cooker Red Beans and Turkey Sausage Recipe, 1 serving(s) 200 37 carb    22 fiber 43 iron

I doubt any of us would eat a full serving too. A little high on carb, but also high fiber so the net carb is only 15. I also prefer to make a stock first to help with flavor. Finally, if you are not used to cooking beans do not add salt until AFTER they are done, or they will remain hard no matter how long you cook them. You don't have to use a pressure cooker, but if you don't most likely you will need to increase the water.

Thanks for the idea!  I have been more in a slow cooker mood lately but started thinking about the pressure cooker again recently when you asked about the electric pressure cooker/slow cooker combo.

Anyway, just typing in "pressure cooker" into myfitnesspal foods comes up with all sorts of things. And your bean/smoked sausage (no rice) also looks good.  I have been trying to add a few beans into the food rotation.
