Sore mouth???
I am 6 months out from surgery. I had my blood work done last week and all levels are great. This past week the inside of my mouth and gums have become very irritated when I eat. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm not sure if I'm having a reaction to certain things that I may be eating. I started eating Quest bars a couple of weeks ago. I'm going to stop those for now to see if it clears up. Any feedback?

I don't know, that sounds like maybe something not related to your surgery or food but possibly just a general dental/oral health issue, like periodontal disease, plaque build-up, etc. Do you have a visit with a dentist coming up soon? If I were experiencing your symptoms and they didn't resolve on their own after a couple of weeks (and I would be focusing on making sure I brush and floss twice a day), my dentist would be my next stop. Good luck!

Do you know what your actual numbers are from your labs? Some doctors will tell you everything is great when you are actually on the borderline of being low. Knowing your numbers, and charting them so you can see downward trends, is VERY important after surgery. You want to be able to see where you need improvement in your supplementation.
Many vitamin deficiency can result in a sore mouth and tongue. Here is an article that outlines them.
Thanks Rocky....I will take a look at the article. Yes, I got the numbers and everything looks great. There were no borderline levels of concern. I like your idea of tracking them though. I will be sure to put those in a spreadsheet for future testing. Thanks!
