No, no. It's strippers and cake! That's what really livens up those dull client meetings.

Rapid weight loss is a hard strain on the liver.  Adding alcohol to the equation can cause permanent damage, so the common recommendation is to wait until your weight loss has stopped or slowed down significantly.  This is usually around a year post-op, so plan on waiting that long and enjoying some unsweetened iced tea during those business meetings.

Carbonation can be rough for about 6 mos.

Did you do any research before you had surgery?

No I actually just walked into a random OR and asked them to take 75% of my stomach with no prior thoughts or research. Really?

That is really funny. The same thing happened to me.

My husband had a few drinks a year out.  He will still occasionally.

I'm not sure why people get so negative on these posts.  You can ask a question and they jump down your throat.

How quickly after surgery were you approved to have any alcohol and has your taste/preference changed since surgery?

Are you asking for ancedotal responses or medical advice?

The best person to ask would be your surgeon.  I don't know when you had surgery.

I'm 19 months post surgery.  I drink VERY RARELY now.  It's empty calories and tends to cause bloating/weight gain when I drink even a couple of glasses of wine.  I don't think I had any alcohol at all until a year after surgery.
