I'm on the bench
Congrats!!! I'm 3.5 weeks ahead of you, down 18 pounds, and feeling great!!!
I had a drain and a catheter. The latter was removed before I woke up. After seeing what was in the twice daily emptied drain, I was glad to have it, and not to have to put my body thru absorbing all that crud!! Removal was uncomfortable, but not as bad as I feared. They took it out just before I left the hospital.
JMO, tho!

Thanks for getting back to us. Glad your surgery went well. The drain is a nuisance, but it will probably be removed when you go home. If not, you won't need it for very long. Wait till you get that tiny cup of water! It's amazing how long it takes to get it down the hatch. But you'll improve your liquid intake dramatically over the next few days, so don't get discouraged.
