How long did you take omeprazole?

I'm not quite 2 months out but I'm pretty sure my surgeon said I would be  taking this forever.  I only get reflux if I  eat too much too quickly. I know when 1 more mouthful I'll get reflux, so just keep that in mind. 

3.5 years post VSG - still take protonix. "half dose" every morning.

I'm less than a month out of surgery.  I have had no reflux at all.  I went out of town for three days and forgot my pills.  Honestly I didn't feel the least bit difference.  I told my surgeon and he said I may not need them at,all, though he wants me to complete the 1 month course.
