3 days post-op here, had it on Monday and was released from center on Tuesday!  Good luck with everything and make sure and pay attention to what they say about walking---it's critical for gas pain!

Congrats!! How exciting!  You'll have some pain, but it will be OK and you will get better fast.  Walk as much and as quickly as you can. I did 2 laps around the floor 5 hours after my surgery.  Get the drip (pain meds) to stay ahead of the pain in the beginning.  I was off it in a day, but it helped in the beginning.  But the best thing I did for myself was the walking. When people came to visit, I had them walk the floor with me. Welcome to your new life!!
