will the gas pains stop? It seems like every time I drink, I get really bad gas pains.  I'm taking gas-x, but it's only working slightly.

gas x is useless , you need to walk and use a hot towel, the gas is not in you stomach but in the space around your organs walking helps get it out of you body , and make shore you sip slowly and don't swallow air

Walk as much as you can, that will help more than anything.  Gas-x won't touch the gas that's in your body.

Hi! I am 3 days post-op and have severe gas pains as well which are manifesting themselves in my left shoulder (sounds weird but apparently pretty common).  I am walking like crazy (over 2 hours total spread out yesterday) and that got things moving gas-wise.  I was also told to prioritize water to flush the system and take milk of magnesia because some of the gas would remove itself through the bowels. Hang in there.  I can move around pretty well otherwise and am getting in all my liquids (albeit it's a constant challenge).  On the other end, we'll be pleased we did this!

Walk, walk, walk, and then walk some more!  It helps the most!  That was the worst pain for me too and I had never been so excited to pass gas!  LOL good luck and this too shall pass!  Pun intended! 😉

Agree with all after day 4 it's gets much better.  I felt like gas x strips did help me but I was also walking.  Just do you.   Best of luck

Walking truly is the best way to get rid of gas pain. Also a heating pad helps. My gas pains were all gone by day four so you should be feeling better soon.

After my lapband surgery I think that was the worst part...especially the gas up by my shoulders!  This will pass...hang in there!
