CRAVING FOOD, DAY 3 LIQUID DIET
This sounds bad, I know, but it's Day 3 of my Liquid Diet, I'm 11 days away from my surgery! I'm craving food. Not really hungry, just want something chew!!!! Hopefully this gets better!!!
You are not alone! I posted the exact same thing when I was on my third day! It is torture but it does get better. The only thing that got me through was staying busy. I cleaned closets, window shopped, watched movies ( but not TV because there are way too many food commercials) and read books. Hang in there- this too shall pass.
The pre-surgery liquid diet was the hardest part of the whole process. Once you have the surgery, the appetite diminishes and capacity diminishes, and its easier. But that pre-surgery liquid diet is the WORST. Hang in there and know it gets better. And it is going to be so worth-while when the pounds start falling away and you feel healthier and have more energy. Keep your eye on the prize!
best wishes,
Carol

I bought a bad a crushed ice at Sonic it helped chewing post op. But pre op I could have 1 lean meal. Surgeons are different , mine said a liquid only diet when you have a 60 oz tummy is cruel. Hang in there when you toy get your new tummy it is much better. Feeling full is easy.
