Plastic surgery

Ah yes.. Skin removal. My surgery was back in 2011 with Dr. Mann at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center. I'm getting close to my goal (so haven't kept up with this site) and I need to know if the rumors are true. Will the military pay for plastic surgery for bariatric patients. Any info is gratefully appreciated.

The answer is, it depends. My good friend received plastics after bariatric surgery while stationed in Germany. For her, she had to lose 100 lbs and show it was medically necessary, not just cosmetic. Her extra skin hung down and caused rashes. I am not sure they would do it for just cosmetic reasons. It would depend on where you are stationed and your doctor.
