I am ten days post-VSG. I was at my father-in-laws funeral and lifted something too heavy. Now I have discomfort at the largest incision site (right of belly-button). If you've had a similar experience, what did you do about it?

Thanks for any guidance.

I would call my surgeon if i was you , you might have a hernia , or you might of just pulled a stitch  which will heal by it self

I did the same thing. Was sensitive to lifting for first 6 weeks,

Dr said don't lift over 10 lbs. I didn't listen enough I guess? I paid attention after that?

The big incisons take a long time to fully heal. It your body's way of saying " I don't think so" to you?

I was two days post op and got out of bed and seriously thought I pulled every stitch.  the incision site really hurt. It went away in a few days.  If it's really painful I would call.  But I was fine and have had no problems since.
