STUCK..NOT A STALL.. BODY IS STUCK AND I DISAGREE

I often had 10-12 days where the scale did not move.  Then woosh, 4-5 lbs would come off in 2 days.

I would not recommend upping the carbs, at least not for me.  Carbs cause me to retain fluids.

Your profile doesn't list when you had your surgery, so I don't know how far out you are.

You will hit plateaus over the course of your weight loss, especially if you're older.  All you can do is stay on course and the weight will eventually come off.

Are you weighing your portions?  I find that I always overestimate how much a portion is until I put it on my food scale.

And you definitely need to increase your water intake.  Consuming so much protein is hard on the kidneys and you need to keep flushing them.

Hang in there.  It's a marathon, not a sprint.  A week and a half stall is not very long.

I don't know about you, but I have never been good at delayed gratification!  I also have been a bit stuck in the 10 days or so, too.  So I get impatient even tho I know this is part of my stair step losing pattern.

My food stats look a lot like yours mentioned in your post,  including a tendency to be light on water.  Anyway, I'm just going to stay the course as far as food goes but will (as always) work to get my water intake up to make sure the body is getting everything it needs.

Eventually the weight will drop more to my liking....I bet yours does to.

I stalled at 180 and again at 160 for weeks.  I thought "OK this is it for me, I'm done." But I stuck with the plan, after all, it's my plan for life now, and now I'm in the 140's just a couple of months later.  I'm a firm believer that our bodies need time to catch up.  If you're following the plan, try not to worry so much.  Easier said than done, I know.

You have done amazing with your weight loss.  Do you use My Fitness Pal?  If yes, do you mind if I view your food log?  I would love to see what you eat each day to accomplish such amazing results.

Yes I use MFP and I have it unlocked for anyone to see.,  The amazing thing about this surgery is the lack of hunger.  I have to remind myself to eat sometimes.  Good luck

You have lost SO MUCH (more than I) in so little time (less time than I)...that I don't see how you can say it's a stall! You're killing it! Keep up the good work!

I feel this way!  I've been stuck around 172-175 for three weeks!  It's driving me nuts. But then I'm like "well... this is it.  this is my life-weight."  Good to know we're not alone!

1.5 weeks isn't a stall, IMO. I can go 2-3 weeks without losing anything, then drop 5-10lbs very quickly. Hormones fluctuate throughout the month and have a lot to do with this!
