Longish stall

Hello! I am a little over 7 months out from surgery and I have been in a stall for a little over that month time period. Just wondering about when others had their first stall and just some general cheerleading and affirmation around such things!

Sounds like you are pretty much in maintenance mode right now.

You may want to try lowering your calories by 3-400 per day to get WL going again.

This is very common for people on a 1000-1200 cal plan.

I am 6 months out, at 1000-1100 calories.   Been on a 5 week stall with 30 pounds to go yet.  Little scared, is this it??

You may want to check with your surgeon (and/or the daily "what are you eating" threads) regarding the number of calories you should be eating. From what I've seen around here, most folks are taking 600 - 800 calories at the 6 month point if they're still trying to lose, and don't bump up to 1000+ calories until they hit maintenance.

If memory serves, my target was about 750 at that point, and I moved to 1100 for maintenance.

I'm 15 (!!) months post-op and I've yet to have anything I'd call a stall.  My weight hasn't moved much since March but I know EXACTLY why - I haven't been doing the right things due to everything that's going on with my dad's cancer.

I'm 6 months post op and had a 2 month stall. I stopped snacking and I'm losing again.

Things really slowed down quite a bit for me at that point. I found that I was eating a bit more than I ought to, and letting some carbs creep into my diet. I made sure to be SUPER accurate about logging my food and measuring everything I ate, and that helped a lot. Things didn't pick back up at the pace of the first few months, but the scale did move again.

You can do this!!

Thank you everyone .   I'll  drop back down  in calories , however  I  am following  what my nut said .   I just had my 6 month and the Dr was very pleased with my progress and did not seem  at all concerned .   I'm  just concerned  because  I'd  like to lose  more and wondered if my body was just saying  no more you're  done.

You're the one who gets to determine when you're done - not your body :)

My surgeon also told me to aim for about 1000 calories daily. I found that if I go much over 800 calories, I do not lose weight, no matter how healthy my food is. You are your own best doctor when you listen to what your body is telling you.
