Rest days are important. You'll notice improved performance after giving your muscles the time they need to repair themselves. Strenuous activity breaks down muscle. Recovery allows them to recuperate. That's how you build muscle. Non-stop strenuous activity eats away at the muscle, making it more difficult to get toned. You'll burn fat with nonstop exercise (and muscle!), but don't expect to see muscle definition.

Gwen is right exercise plays a small part in weight loss, diet is the real key!
