Start working out, it'll make you feel awesome and strong and great and wonderful! It probably won't help with the weight loss, but it will make you feel like Super Woman :D

I am 4 weeks post op (down 37lbs) and just started my gym regimen today! Right now I can only do cardio but my Dr advised that after my 6 week check I can slowly start to tone and strength. I would talk to your Dr to ease your fear...But on a personal note it felt good today. My body is sore but that's because I was to heavy before to enjoy working out. The weight loss sure helps. Give it a go just make sure you're hydrated! Good luck! 😊
Consider water aerobics, pool yoga etc. to ease in.

Oh for god's sake, Nicki - there is no way in hell you are going to build enough muscle to make one bit of difference! At least not for months and months and months.
I worked my ass off in a super-intense program for 6 months and afterward I got underwater bodyfat testing done. You know how muscle mass I put on in those 6 months? Two. Lousy. Pounds. But I lost fat that made up for it.
So what's more important to you: fat loss or weight loss? Because if you insist on getting hung up on the number on the scale, maintenance is going to be cruel and crushing for you. You must understand that the bathroom scale is the WORST measurement of your success as a WLS patient. It's about losing FAT...not weight. And you can stay the exact same weight or even go up and be less fat...and be a smaller size....and have a smaller waist.
Get off the couch and get to moving your butt. Exercise has very little to do with weight loss but has everything to do with overall health. Exercise for your heart and lungs and joints and muscles. Not because you want to move the needle on the scale.
Rant over....
