There is also research linking low Vitamin D levels with diabetes:

I have D in my Vitamin, my calcium and was taking 5,000 units additional units daily. My PCP ordered blood work at 6 weeks post-op and my Vit D is too high (and I live in WI - not a sunny state!). I've been taken off the 5,000 units!

My Vit d was super low before surgery / I had to take 50,000 IUs 2 times a week for 2 months. took a new blood test two weeks ago and they are in the middle of the rang. I have also been out in the sun more lately because I coach Lacrosse. I think the doctor told me that many people in the northern climate have this issue near the end of winter. He told me to stop taking it now. I will get checked again in a month.

Ht:6'5 Start weight 427, surgery weight=362 current weight 238 goal weight unsure?
