Last week I weighed in at 169. A few days later I'm at 171 then 170 then back up to 172 LOL I'm just at the end of my period but this is so annoying!! Why so much bouncing???

I bounce around as well. I've tried to make peace with the fact that my overall trend is down and that's a good thing. It does make me shake my head sometimes at the random scale readings I can get each day.

Annoying isn't it? My doctor suggests tha****er retention has a bit to do with it, otherwise it's just our bodies being weird. If you plug in your measurements every day, or every few days, you'll still get to see the downward trend that evens out, even with the hiccups!

My period wreaks havoc with my water weight and the scale. I can go up to 5 lbs higher during my cycle, and then i'll drop it when I'm completely done. Joys of womanhood ;)

I know exactly what you mean about frustrating & it's been a long time since I could blame the bouncing-around on my period. My scale keeps bouncing between 199.5 and 198.5 for the last 8 days. I'm 3-1/2 months out & didn't think my weight loss was suppose to slow down so soon. Oh well, just better to stay off the scale & focus on those things that I can control in addition to the NSV's.

Been there, done that.  In fact, still doing it.  I hate the scale.  It's evil and a liar and I just wanna stomp on it and force it to say what I want it to say.  It truly is the most annoying thing ever.

What's weird for me is I usually drop 2-3 lbs just before my period and then I fluctuate up 2-3 pounds during my period and then the weight doesn't come back off for a couple of weeks.  It's the worst.

It's definitely water weight though.  Try drinking more water.

I've done that for the past 7 months!  The great news is I've never really stalled (probably will now that I said that out loud!)....but I have gone up and down and up and down and up and down!  Through it all I've lost all but 3 pounds of my excess body weight in that time.  I am not friends with the scale, but I do get on it every single day...go figure!  Hang in there...it will come off!

This happened to me around 5-6 months post op and again at 8-9 months post op and then weight loss picked right back up.  It felt like I was 180 forever and also 160 forever.  The good news is that the scale does start moving again, just stick to the plan :)
