hair shedding has started, 3 months out
on 5/18/15 6:18 am
good morning everyone, it's started, the hair shedding. I must be honest, I'm so overwhelmed taking care of my husband that I'm not taking good care of myself. I don't feel like eating a thing!. my hands shake, my heart skips beats but I get that exercise in, 2.5 hrs a day, it must be an escape for me. I keep saying I'm going to do better and I don't. I know the answer, no wt loss. I'm getting my act together right now. going to eat breakfast, hittn the gym, going to allergist for more food testing, lab for blood work, Walmart for a cosmetic bag, then home for lunch, it will be at least 3 hrs til I get home to eat something again. This is how my days typically go, oh and bring him to the dr. at 4. uhh, not being able to tolerate any dairy, soy or the egg protein drink has left me angry and limited. I will get this done. I'm starting my 3rd 100 miles challenge June 1st. I'll get it. Thanks for listening.
have a good day everyone
My hair loss was the worst between months 3-6. It did stop for me around 7-8 months. Try not to worry too much. One thing I realized is how much hair I really had! Even as it was falling out in clumps, I still had a ton left :) Hang in there. xoxo

You might try pea or hemp protein powders. You've got to figure out how to take care of your body.

thank you, your right and to be honest with you I feel like crap. I gotta do better, gettn fitness in is a no brainer. I did see my allergist today and I have to get more tests done. she begged me with all my allergies to run not walk to my nutritionist and that's the first call I make in the am
I'm not surprised that you're exhausted! You're exercising a lot and not giving your body anywhere close to the nourishment it needs. That's a recipe for serious disaster. You won't be able to do anything for your husband if you end up in the ER yourself.
You can get your protein from real food at this point, so it might be wise to stock up on tuna pouches - they're portable and don't need refrigeration. Beef jerky is another great option.

I find that it's best to be prepared when you're out and about. I always have a snack on hand. A string cheese, tuna salad pouch, almonds, etc. I just throw it in my bag or keep stuff in the car that way no matter what I make sure I'm eating something and not skipping Meals. It's great that you're exercising but nutrition is the key in weight loss.
The hair loss does suck for a bit but it stopped for me around 8 months and it wasn't noticeable to anyone but me. Even my hair stylist said I was just being paranoid. Just stay hydrated and try to get in that protein the best you can. Also I take biotin to help regrowth.
