Hello, I am 7 weeks post op, I have lost 40 pounds but seem to have stalled.  Is there something that I should be doing differently to get me back on track?  It is hard to wake up to seeing that I have not lost anything the last couple of days.   Thanks for you replies...   Tina

Stalls are totally normal and to be expected throughout this entire process.  And, if it's only a couple of days, nothing to worry about at all.

Stick to your plan.  Get your protein and fluids in.  You'll reach your goals!

Thank you for your reply.  It helps to know that it is part of the normal process!

I am blessed I lose each week not really big but it's a loss.  The greatest part is I'm not miserably hungry as with other weight loss programs.

Stick with your Drs eating plan, exercise and get your vitamins and water in. It will happen.

You can do it.

i'm going to say this again....for maybe the 100th time....you don't get to call it a "stall" at 7 weeks out just because the scale hasn't moved for a few days.   Call it a stall when the scale hasn't moved in 2 months.  That's a stall we can all sympathize with.

When the scale doesn't move you are typically losing FAT while retaining water.  A half gallon of water weighs 4 lbs.  Start keeping track of your measurements and typically you'll see that you are dropping inches when the scale doesn't move for long periods of time.  And that means you are losing FAT - which is the goal in the first place.

Goal reached in 7 months and 1 week
