Well today is two months since I had my stomach trimmed down to a reasonable size. I was lucky enough to have a support group this morning.  My NUT was there and it was awesome to see her and some of the other people I saw there at my preop visit. I am down 57 lbs since my surgery and 122 since my highest point. I came home and road my bike for 30 minutes and had 2 Oz of tuna fish with mayo on a 1 Oz romaine lettuce leaf. It was a little upsetting because one of my best friends...mayonnaise tasted a little weird to me. Damn not mayonnaise.  I kinda tasted it the other day when I put some into some day old chicken breast. It has a kind of metal taste to me?? So I being a good shopper had an extra jar thinking it was bad. So I opened that. Same taste. Lol. Well now what? Mustard? Please help me replace my buddy mayonnaise.

Hummus.  Interesting.  I'm going  try that . My friend told me avocado is something he eats with turkey and chicken.  Thanks for the ideas.

LOL!! Mayo..not mayo!!

love it!

same thing happened  to me with tomato sauce..

and pre surgery I was all about the macroni and gravy!!!

2 yrs out still  tinney...

oh well, luckily, I have no real desire or craving for it anymore..

ice cream was also a big thing with me, now it has no taste at all!!

cant really complain about it, but it's kinda funny, no?

Yes it is funny. I'm just trying to lube up the dry protein.  Pasta and gravy. Yikes. I could eat a pound of that easy before surgery.

I empathize with you about dry protein. You can also try adding a little brown mustard to your mayo & if you like a little heat try adding some horseradish to the mayo.

Ooh!

i just realized with the above post that I sometimes use a

Boars Head brand horseradish sauce on my tuna..

i use it a lot on grilled chicken, it's got a nice bite to it..

And  that's another thing that changed pre surgery, did Not like spicy at all

now love it!! LOL!!

How about those yogurt salad dressings? I think they're by Bolthouse Farms I really like the blue cheese and its 35 calories for 2 tbsp. 1g carbs and 2g protein. Or plain greek yogurt with ranch dip mix.
