Am I crazy?

I would agree. My nut at soft foods allows mashed potato and grits I think it was also - for a week. My take on that was it was something soft, smooth and very unlikely to upset your stomach. After that point it wasn't an encouraged food.

I have to say that few spoonfuls of packaged potato (so smooth) with a spoon ful or two of gravy totally made my day at that point.

Now I try (but sometimes fail) at staying away from the humble potato. But it doesn't feature often.

GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Unjury online, exactly what Mary B said below. I liked Unjury unflavoured and chicken soup flavour as well as many GNC and Vitamin Shoppe ones - there are hundreds. You have to try and see what flavours you will like best. I enjoyed all coffee flavoured or chocolate and vanilla.

You're not crazy - what it means is that you're following your plan and not pushing it.  The only times I've felt nauseous or vomited was when I advanced my diet too quickly or tried eating something too fast.

Congrats on getting the sleeve and welcome to the loser's bench!

You won't feel any restriction for quite a while; the nerves in your stomach were cut during surgery and need time to heal.

I was just like you - no nausea, no issues drinking, no problem getting my shakes down, etc.... I didn't feel restriction even with the ricotta bake when I started mushies. I finally felt restriction when I hit the soft solids stage and I ate some scrambled eggs. Then about 1/4 and WHAM. Done! No more. Fini!

It will come. As Julia said, consider yourself lucky you are breezing through the early post op phase. I did!

I had my surgery the same day as you.  I have had the same experience.  Reading Frisco's post about the pyloric valve confirmed my thoughts on why we don't feel any restriction.  There is no dense protein. I bet we'll feel restriction when our diets permit them.

You can get protein powder at GNC and the Vitamin Shoppe and other stores or order Unjury online (my recommendation).

I'm sure we'll both do well.

I never felt those things post-op either.  I had a very smooth recovery.
