Need Encouragement

Don't give up. Remember when you were at the start of your journey with about 90 lbs to lose? That must have seemed like a herculean task. Yet you persisted and you did it, one pound at a time.

I hear the last few pounds are a ***** to get off, so just reframe and readjust your expectations. You'll probably lose in ounces now, instead of bigger numbers. But keep going. They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. You've already travelled 900 miles. You're almost there. So. Very. Close.

I'd recommend going through the hassle of finding a therapist anyway.  Getting a therapist you click with is worth the hassle.

I can so relate.  I was just talking to my therapist about it today (BTW she is located in Atlanta :)  We are working on cognitive behavioral therapy.  Google it - there's some good stuff there.  Let me know if you want her name.  I am in the same boat.  Just pounds away from my goal and very much in a stall leaving me thinking "maybe this is it for me." I'm going to the support group at Northside Hospital on Thursday night if you're interested??  xoxo

I'm right there with ya and I feel your pain. The closer I get to goal the slower the weight loss. I've gone from losing over 10 pounds per month to losing 3 or less if I'm on a stall. It's extremely frustrating but I just tell myself to keep at it and eventually the weight will come off. It's just science. I've increased my cardio a bit to boost my metabolism and burn more calories and it seems to be helping. I just lost 3 lbs this week which is a huge victory for me. Don't give up. As long as you are still doing what you did before to come this far, you will achieve your goal!!
