Just be sure you let your doc know you take them because he may want you to stop them before surgery since many herbal supplements may not mix with your anesthesia.

Yes definitely-And a lot of herbals have blood thinning effects too so they could interfere with ability to clot

My only experience is in my classroom. I have had a few parents of diagnosed ADHD students who are reluctant to use meds do the essential oil thing instead. They swear by it. On my end I am totally calling bull**** on it for that capacity. This incredibly limited experience would make me skeptical enough to really take a hard look at the research to see what is indicated, and chat with the doc.
