I am home from an amazing Alumni Day Weekend at my high school.  I was super nervous going into the weekend, but it was above and beyond all expectations.  I felt awesome, I looked awesome, and everyone else did too!  Five years ago I felt out of place and like I couldn't hold my own around my phenomenal classmates, but this time I felt right at home.  I can't wait for the 25th :D

Eating wise, this is a fish week since my fish-hating partner is out of town for business travel.  I've also got an insane amount of Chipotle catering leftovers in the freezer, and veggie tray leftovers in the fridge, so it'll be a fun month working through this stuff.

1: frankenshake
2: leftover farro salad
3: fish tacos in taco salad form

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: some amount of yoga at home, aiming for an hour.

I was not a good eater yesterday.  We made homemade vanilla ice cream and my mom made a wonderful raspberry tira misu.  It was awesome, but my scale went up a pound today.  So, I have to be good eater for the rest of the week.

B: scrambled egg with roast beef, jalapeno and cheese

L: left over roast beef, a few bites of potato and gravy

D: spaghetti (no noodles for me, just meat sauce over mozzarella)

E: later

It's day four post op for me and I'm staying low due to the pain. So far today I've had about four oz of a protein shake and two oz of Greek yogurt. I'm nervous on what I can have and just learning what I can tolerate. Sipping water along the way.

I had a great time at my reunion as well, but I am still recovering.  OMG -- open bar & old friends = a hangover to remember.  I sweat it out on the stairmaster and am starting to feel a bit better.  One of the best things about the reunion was doing our triangle run (5k) that was torture in high school and killing it & enjoying it :)  yay for being in shape!

onto the food

b - chike

s - coffee & cookie (what? -- hangover choice)

l - buff chix salad

s - veggies

d - pasta w/ sausage (the man is cooking)

e - stairmaster (3.5 miles & 167 flights = a bucket of sweat)

w - on track

v - check!

I'm glad that I've never been a drinker of alcohol - it sounds miserable :P

My reunion also had a 5k "run for fun" and one of my classmates made a great case for me to walk it with her, but the timing was bad.  It was scheduled for the same time that I had to pick up Chipotle for the party!

Yes,  Mother's day did me in as well.  Saturday was my daughter's birthday, so we took her out for Chinese food.  It was my first Chinese food in 2.5 years.  It was so good, but I couldn't eat very much... Thank you sleeve.  And then mother's day we had a brunch at my son's place.  Again too much food and too many carbs.  Today I was over my upper weight  limit, so I'm back to basics.  I made crack slaw this morning, and will make chicken with artichoke and sun-dried tomatoes tonight.  Then if I can eat these and avoid the carbs, I should be back on track...

breakfast - salmon

Lunch - enchilada casserole (I know, too many cals, but it was the last piece.  Its gone now.)

Snack - sweet potato casserole - (again finishing off some of the higher carb foods from last week.)

Dinner - crack slaw

vitamins - good

water -ok

exercise - recumbent bike - so happy to be back on track with the exercise after my surgery.
