By 3 days after surgery I was down 9lb. I think I had been retaining a lot of fluid but after they pumped me full with the IV I was peeing up a storm. By the 2 week mark I was down 19lb. In the third week I only lost 1lb to put me at 20 total. That's where I am now. Curious to see what happens next :)

Jessca,  Thank you for sharing that process, I am on my 3rd week too and I have only weighted in once.....when I go for check-ups with my surgeon. I stay off the scale as I need to focus on other things such as, how I feel when I rise in the morning; my energy levels during the day. My blood pressure daily.  So, I am really need to get that this a HUGE lifestyle change and it's time to get real serious.

Keep me posted!

I'm a numbers girl I number crunch for a living and am just naturally interested in figures trends statistics etc. So I can't help but weigh everyday. But I don't dwell on it - at least I haven't so far. But I probably would dwell on what my weight might be if I wasn't able to step on the scale everyday lol

Yes Jessca, I can respect that.  I just want to focus on other places.  So your right girl, we have to journey as we good and what that looks like for each of us is different....love the advice!!!

Sds, I can not see Gwen's message she was blocked for harassment.  So nothing Gwen says means anything on my post.

Thank for sharing.

Harassment? I see nothing of the kind in her response. It seemed very mild-mannered to me.

Ignoring good and helpful information is a bad way to start.

If  you are going to worry about week to week losses, you might as well get hooked up with anti-anxiety meds now. This is going to be an agonizing process for you.

Deepdimples, this is great news.  While we are all different, it is good to hear how others are progressing.  Thank you so much for sharing.

Wow, I was UP 16 lbs a week post op? all the iv fluids, no idea how anyone could drop that much, even when I had plastics that removed 7.5 lbs of skin (never mind the lipo...) I was still the same wright a week later.

Just sayin, YOUR loss is not going to be HER loss and comparing, expecting the same is ridiculous.

Starting weight: 334 lbs.Starting opti weight: 323 lbs, Surgery weight 303 lbs.Surgery-May 21st, 2013 with Dr Hagen at HRRH Goal weight 165 lbs reached at 13 months. Current weight 156 lbs
