Those sleevers that have met their goals, how long did it take?
People meet their goals at different rates. As long as your plan is one that promotes weight loss and you stick to it, you'll get to goal! Try not to worry or compare your rate loss of anyone else. To answer your question, though. I got to goal weight in 7 months and 11 days after VSG surgery. I had lost a good amount of weight prior to surgery so that made a big difference for me.
I had a lot of weight to lose, and I was at goal in 15 months post-op - 18 months total weight loss. I know it feels like 21 pounds in 6 weeks may seem slow, but its a good rate. And it really adds up over time. Looking back, I wish I hadn't worried so much about the numbers on the scale. In the long run, it really doesn't matter if you get to goal in 6 months, 12 month or 18 months. If every month, you are heading in the right direction, and getting healthier, then does it really matter how long it takes to reach goal?
Keep up the good work, and try to enjoy the process. The weight loss surgery really works.
best wishes,
Carol

I had surgery in December 2013, starting weight was 285. I hit my initial goal (160lb) in October 2014, and "normal" BMI (150lb) in November.
I hit other goals earlier, though. I went off my blood pressure meds in February, and stopped using my CPAP in June (I think).

I reached goal in 7 months and 1 week. You can see my numbers in my sig line below.
Don't worry about how fast you'll reach goal. Be much more worried about how hard you'll have to work to stay there. Everyone told me that but I didn't really believe them! Losing is the EASY part...maintaining is HARD
I lost 190lbs. post surgery in 13 months.
Some will say men lose faster than women which I generally agree with...... but there have been women that lost faster than me.
Consistency is the key, together with commitment and compliance.
Tip: Major downfall is adding after the 6 month mark.... Some have done it... most can't.
1000 to 1200 cal plans can be very slow.
