Its just a number, right?
Having been overweight my entire adult life, I have tried to take the focus off the number on the scale during my weight loss journey which began January 14, 2014. I really tried to pay attention to the process of eating on plan and exercising. It took me a long time to decide whether to have the surgery. I wanted to know I could follow through before I made the decision. It is now 6 months after my surgery and 16 months since I began. I have been moderately successful with my attempts to focus on the eating and exercising, have realized I need to work more on the psychological aspects of overeating, and the scale numbers have for the most part been secondary. For the most part...
However, today I reached a number, that at the start of my journey, I never believed was possible. I keep telling myself it is just a number and the process is way more important. But dang it all, this number made me smile. So, today, I will celebrate my number and tomorrow I will regroup and work on the process again. Today, I am celebrating scale victory of losing 200 pounds.
I think I will go take a long walk to celebrate.
