urgent!
I'll try to be gentle but I also want to be honest.
Most likely you haven't done any permanent harm, physically. Mentally you are setting yourself up for failure.
But I think you already know that.
Obviously you are dealing with your weight problem the best way you know how but if you truly want the best results than your best bet is to follow your doctor's plan as close as possible, at least until you get to goal. Then you can experiment in a controlled fashion.
This isn't to punish you but to help you develop the good habits you will need if you want long term maintenance.
Instead of sabotaging yourself you will be building a foundation with which you can find a comfortable way to eat that will keep you at a healthy weight.
If sticking to your doctor's plan sounds impossible or if you truly do your best and still can't stick with it than it is time to seek outside help. Your doctor's office should be able to help you there.
Or you can find a local support group, 12 step program or any other way to address why you are unwilling or unable to stop eating destructively.
And yes, eating doritos 1 week post op is destructive eating.
I also recommend going to your doctor's nutritionist or finding a nutritionist that specializes in post WLS patients and find out what you can eat and when.
My qualifications? I am someone who out ate a very powerful WLS because I did not address my eating issues.
I was given a second (and last) chance to get it right and I am not squandering it. This may be your only chance as well.
I vowed to learn what I needed to eat and stick with it until I reached goal.
Then I committed to learning how I needed to eat to stay at goal.
It's been nearly 5 years so what I am doing must be working.

You've already had the answers to your questions, so I'll just add a good suggestion:
Empty your cupboards of ALL white foods or processed carbs. This will make it much easier to resist the siren calls of junque foods. Then, when you get the urge to nibble, drink something. Your body is begging for liquids, but since we obese folks have learned to ignore our body's signals it has learned that you won't ignore the "hunger" signal so you eat something. Drink something.
It might cause you to leak.
It might damage your staple line.
Most importantly - please work VERY hard to figure out why you felt the need to eat doritos at 1 week post-op and PLEASE start seeing a therapist to figure out how to quash this self-sabotaging behavior.

I'm not sure what you mean by negative comments cuz what might seem negative to you the person making the comment probably won't see it that way.
I really wouldn't know what damage you might have done to yourself so it'd be a good idea to contact your surgeon.
Your body is healing right now & you're sabotaging yourself, seek therapy to stop this type of behavior.
Temptations will be everywhere, so cleaning house is what you're gonna have to do for now. Get rid of all the foods you shouldn't be eating, follow your Drs plan., & don't hurt yourself anymore.
