Feeling overwhelmed
A year ago I was sitting in the same stadium, waiting for my parter to run his half marathon, annoyed with the "small" seats. Racing wasn't even a blip on my radar
Here I am now, 80 pounds lighter than that day, in the same comfortable seat having run the Twilight 5k with him yesterday.
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with emotion and thankfulness.

What a wonderful, joyful post. What a difference WLS can make in our lives! I will be eternally grateful that there is a cure for obesity.
Great work, Gwen!

I can only imagine how you feel. So emotional, in many ways. Gwen, it is amazing how much you have changed. Just doing the 5k is a lot. then reliving this day again but 80lbs lighter fitting different in the seat. I can see how this could really be overwhelming.
But CONGRATS! A new life a new you! Stay strong
