what's the consensus on popcorn?
I was advised to avoid corn of any type until maintenance. If you're still on soft foods, I wouldn't go anywhere near something with hard, fibrous kernels.
Not even two months out? I'd skip it. Not only is there little nutritional value for you and just carbs, but the texture could be detrimental to your sleeve.
Popcorn is one of my favorite snack foods, and a huge trigger. I can EASILY eat a whole bag, so I don't even buy it. I think it's best not to tempt fate.
Its not worth it yet. I would try to wait until maintenance.
Your first 6-8 months are a honeymoon period that you need to take full advantage of. The loss usually slows after that as well.
The salt may also cause your weight to spike.
The biggest point is that this is a slippery slope. One of the reasons for my sleeve is that I didn't have control over what I can eat. 21 months out and I still feel nervous. One cup of popcorn may lead to 2... and other foods.
Take advantage of your sleeve while you can. Good luck.
It's not a soft food, that's for sure!

Absoutlety not don't don't.. So not worth it .. 1. Way way way to soon to even think about it 2. Your in the honeymoon stage enjoy it while its easier tonloose don't mess with it 3. Its a very slippery slope you can't eat just 1 let alone just 1 cup its a slidder so it's very easy to eat.. 4 . if you do this now this soon what's next walk way don't look back!!! Good luck..
