Saw Luna bars on one of wls sites and my sis in law told me about them. they have 9-12 gms protein, gluten free, extremely low glycemic index. when I'm leaving the gym and I need something til I can get home I eat one of those and my dr recommended them as well. they cost .99 at Walmart..try them tell me what you think. Off to the farm now. ugh. long day of training now horses. but I love them

They have 15g of sugar and 21g of carbs. I wouldn't go for these, and I also don't know how they have the gall to market themselves as "low glycemic index" when the second ingredient is sugar. Can't trust marketing!

I love them! The lemon ones and the chocolate peppermint ones are my favorite!

so these don't bother you or interfere with your caloric intake, it doesn't have too many carbs or sugar etc. How long have you been using them?

I would never have eaten them during weight-loss mode because they have 21 grams of carb - way too high when I was trying to keep my total carbs for the day to 40 or less.

However, now that I'm in maintenance I pair this bar with a string cheese and it gives me and an equal amount of protein and carb for a pre-workout meal.  Keeps my blood sugar steady and my energy level up.

I picked these bars because, overall, they have a lot fewer ingredients than most protein bars.

yes thank you. Maybe I should hold off until I have reached my goal. Maybe that's why my wt loss seems to be slow. thanks for the heads up.

I like the Premier Protein STRAWBERRY drink (30g protein, 160 cal, 4g carb) with a string cheese.  Keeps me feeling very satisfied for several hours.  I also like the Muscle Milk Strawberries 'N Cream (20 g protein, 170 cal, 6g carbs) it's not as thick and has a better flavor to me.
