Restoralax/Miralax is your friend! Its gentle and dissolves in water or coffee/tea. Once you're cleared to take it drink it daily and it'll keep you as close to the BMs of old as possible. Might take 2-3 days to kick in but it works. And its gentle. This, too, shall pass!
Surgery: April 30, 2014: HW: 288 SW: 250 Achieved Goal 149 lbs: April 8, 2015 CW: 158 lbs (working on losing 65 lb regain as of June 1, 2021. Weight was at 215 lbs). Fighting every darn day!
I started taking Miralax on Day 3 after my release (was ok'd by surgeon's office) and that does keep me feeling 'normal'. So far it seems that once I got myself going, keeping up with the Miralax (1/2 cap) a day has continued to keep me regular.

Love this post. Post op I needed help; miralax and milk of magnesia. I continued miralax for 2-3 weeks but now only take stool softener and a glycerin suppository as needed. All is regular.
Burping I do if I eat too fast. Farting seems to be BIG each morning.
