How long will I be off work?

My doctor would only give me 3 weeks. 

This is a great question and one that I researched heavily before my surgery.  I was off for 2 weeks.  However, my initial plan was to go back after a week and a half but we had 2 snow days back to back which turned it into 2 weeks.  I also have a desk job. I was a little fatigued when I went back to work but nothing too out f control.  

Thanks everyone I will ask my surgeon when I go for my preop appt on May 28. I do have a job that I have to stand on my feet 8 hours and alot of twisting and turning and somewhat heavy lifting

I shut my business down for 2 weeks with a possible third in preparation for surgery.  I am active and do some light lifting in the course of the day.

I felt so great after surgery that I ended up only taking a week off.  If I had booked a nice vacation somewhere I would have taken the entire two weeks but, without somewhere to go, I would have been bored to tears!
