Hello Everyone,

I am not sure what to expect from my new stomach.  I am 7 days out and still on liquids.  No hunger, however I have tried to chew a few small things.....no problem.  So I am not sure what I am expecting. When I had the lap band the restriction was instantly.  With the sleeve, I am not sure what I am waiting for???  When will the food be restricted or will it just be I am fuller quicker????....HELP!!!

IT IS REALLY SAD THAT YOU CAN NOT POST IN THIS FORUM WITHOUT IDIOTS THAT TURN TO COWARD AFTER THEY MAKE RUDE COMMENTS ON SOME'ONE ELSES POST.  IF YOU DO NOT LIKE WHAT SOME ONE ELSE POST......DO NOT RESPOND.  LET PEOPLE DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THEM. WE SHARE HERE AND NO ONE SHOULD BE BULLYING SOMEONE ELSE.  WE WERE ALL FAT AND SO WHO IS NOW GOT SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE.....IF YOU CAN NOT BE NICE STAY OFF MY POST....PERIOD!!!!!

you may not feel any restriction for months , the nerves in your stomach where cut and take time to heal

you need to measure and track all food and drink

and follow your plan , the chewing means nothing it is when you swallow and the food is in your sleeve that you will feel full , It also takes 20 minutes  for your stomach to tell your brain that it is full

most people feel little or no hunger for months sometimes for ever , at first 2 oz will fill you after a few months 4 oz and after 1 year around 1  - 1 1/2 cups (a pre surgery stomach holds 8+ cups  )

Hello i8it77, looks like Gwen answered the question....LOL make sure your not CHEWING SOMETHING BEFORE your time and "damaging" your band.

This can be a great page to get the advice we need,  I would just say watch where it comes from.  I found some other amazing people that have been a lot of help.  Me like yourself and trying to learn from positive people. Are you sleeved and do you know of others outside of this forum that are?  I have a few folks and after this post, I think it's time to call them....LOL.   Where are you at in your journey?

Why are you trying to chew things when you're on liquids?!  That's a really great way to damage your sleeve and end up back in the hospital.

Most of us don't start to feel restriction until a) we're healed fully and b) we're eating solid foods.

Erk.  Why are you juicing?  Juice is basically pure sugar and will not help you reach your weight goals.  Does your plan allow juice at this point?  My plan is pretty strict about no liquid calories aside from protein shakes and that seems to be a commonality between most plans.

LOL why aren't you  If is clear to me that a sleeve may be your only saving grace, well it's not mine.  I have gone vegan/raw. JUICING does not mean sugar, my friend. It's call green juice, check it out sometimes...LOL  This plan is what is going to be a lifestyle, so yes it includes green juice.  Not all juice depending on how you make it has sugar......I drank today cucumber lime juice..... of which my body needs.  I know I have a sleeve, but I also know my body will need LIVE FOOD.... that has nothing to do with a sleeve.
