No, Even though I had documented rashes, which should have qualified me to have part of it covered, the insurance company said that I only treated it with over-the-counter drugs and never got a prescription drug to treat it, so it didn't qualify. The doctor had offered me prescription meds for it, and I said no, I'd try to OCT ones first, and they fixed it. I just didn't have the fight in me, and I didn't want to wait so I did self-pay.
I did shop around and found a surgeon who was more reasonable. I'm in Massachusetts, and health care costs are high here.
Good luck with your weight loss and plastics. I hope you have all the wonderful results you deserve.

looks great. I'm due for my pannilectomy procedure soon ... not expecting results as good as this for sure. this really seems like the ideal procedure - my stomach looks similar to yours before. jsut wish I had the $$$$ for an upgrade!
Looking AWESOME Diva!
Was this covered by your health insurance? Most health insurances don't cover this, so I was just curious. I can't afford to get my, so I just live with it. I'm 7 yrs post-op, and just use body shapers (I swear I should buy stock in them LOL). But, that's how I get by for the meantime.
Anyway, you look amazing, so happy for you Ms. Carol! Keep up the great work!
Stay blessed and always encouraged.

No, My insurance wouldn't cover it. I did have documented rashes especially in the hot weather, but the insurance company said that since I was able to treat them with over-the-counter meds, they weren't serious enough to justify surgery. It drives me nuts because the NP offered to give me prescription meds, and I said, no, let me try the OCT ones first. I could have waited another year treated the rash with prescription meds and filed again, but I am so sick of insurance companies. I decided to just do self-pay. I also had the luxury of being able to afford it.
Best wishes,
Carol
